Optimized for a relaxed start: Travelers can enjoy a free morning to rest after a long flight or explore District 1 independently, joining the tour in the afternoon with full energy.
- 12:30 PM – 13:00 PM: Pick-up from centrally located hotels in District 1 (designated streets in Zones A, B, C, D) or gather at the Meeting Point: 112 Tran Hung Dao Street, Ben Thanh Ward, District 1, HCMC.
- Thien Hau Pagoda in Chinatown: Discover the spiritual heart of Ho Chi Minh City’s Chinese community. Marvel at the ornate 19th-century architecture dedicated to the Goddess of Seafarers.
- Cho Lon (Big Market / Binh Tay Market): Immerse yourself in Vietnam’s largest wholesale market, a vibrant hub filled with local goods, rich Chinese-Vietnamese cultural charm, and bustling daily trade.
- Saigon River Water Bus Experience: Enjoy a scenic and relaxing boat cruise along the Saigon River as the sun sets. Capture panoramic views of the city's iconic skyscrapers and modern urban landscapes, passing by:
- Vinhomes Central Park
- Landmark 81 Tower (Vietnam’s tallest skyscraper)
- Bitexco Financial Tower
- 18:00 PM: Return to your hotel or the initial meeting point. End of Day 1. Guests are free to enjoy their evening and sample local street food.
Please note: The Saigon city tour on Day 1 can be scheduled flexibly in the morning or in the afternoon; please inform our staff in advance which session the guest will join. If the morning session is selected, the itinerary will instead visit Independence Palace, Notre-Dame Cathedral (exterior), Saigon Central Post Office, and the War Remnants Museum.
DAY 2: EPIC VIETNAM – HISTORIC TUNNELS & MEKONG BYWAYS (Full-Day)
A comprehensive journey seamlessly blending historical depth with the picturesque rustic charm of the Mekong Delta.
- 06:30 AM – 07:00 AM: Early morning pick-up at your hotel in District 1. Depart for the Cu Chi Tunnels via a 1.5-hour scenic drive through the countryside.
- Explore the Legendary Cu Chi Tunnels:
- Watch a short historical documentary highlighting wartime survival strategies and tunnel construction.
- Crawl through the narrow underground network and discover the hidden subterranean world.
- Visit the underground living quarters, including bedrooms, kitchens (Hoang Cam stove), weapon factories, storage areas, field hospitals, and command bunkers.
- Learn about the ingenious defensive systems, hidden trapdoors, and booby traps.
- Taste traditional war-time cassava served with peanut salt and hot tea – the staple meal of guerrilla fighters.
- 11:30 AM: Enjoy a delicious lunch featuring authentic Vietnamese cuisine at a local restaurant.
- Afternoon: Discover the Mekong Delta (My Tho):
- Board a spacious motorized boat for a scenic ride on the Tien River, cruising past the four famous islets: Dragon, Unicorn, Phoenix, and Tortoise.
- Rowing Sampan Experience: Navigating through narrow, tree-lined canals shaded by water coconuts to truly immerse yourself in the local riverine culture (the rowing boat experience is safely managed under 10 minutes).
- Visit a local honey farm and an artisanal coconut candy workshop. Sample fresh honey tea, tropical fruits, and handmade sweets.
- Listen to Dơn Ca Tai Tu – traditional Southern Vietnamese folk music performed live by local artists.
- Optional Activity: Take a short, leisurely cycling trip around the rural village paths to witness authentic daily life.
- 16:30 PM: Say goodbye to the countryside and depart for Ho Chi Minh City.
- 19:00 PM: Arrive back in Ho Chi Minh City. Drop-off at your hotel or meeting point.
